Please note that Brew City will now be know as "Brew" on Executus.  We made the decision to move last night as we were not given control of "Brew City" as expected.  After 2+ weeks of "in a few days", enough is enough.

For those in who may have missed the switch from Brew City; please message Serotonin, Kevan, Devnul, Zulander or Ryry for an ginvite to Brew.

PS:  Malygos(25) was taken to 7% last night, with no heroism (cry).  Let's make sure we get that mother down tonight people!  Cool

Go Brew!!!

Well, we took about 20 Brew City members and a few pugs to Heroic Nax yesterday.  I'm very glad to say we cleared it all in one run.  It seemed that we pulled together more as the night went on, great stuff.  2 shot Sapphiron and 1 shot Kel'Thuzad.  We still have spaces open for raiders, please see the recruitment forum located here http://www.brewcityguild.com/index.php/board,2.0.html

Cheers Brew City!

Since 12/17/2008 we began rebuilding brew with a handful of members.  We're now up to 21 level 80's and more are on their way seemingly every day!  Our first 10 man Nax was completed in one night on 12/23/2008.  Congrats to all for what we accomplished in a single week!  Malygos was one-shot today by Brew City as well.  Hats off to you guys, this is wonderful!  Keep pushing hard, Brew City 25 mans are in our near future!

Approximately 80 minutes of encounter time and Malygos dies in a Brew City pug!

Modified to atone for recent progress 12/29/08:

Our History:
Since the days of Molten Core Brew City(Brew) has been a raiding guild, aspiring to clear end game content. Brew City started off on Balnazzar, which became a dismal unpopulated wasteland. As such, Brew decided to make the transfer to Executus. Since said transfer, Brew has seen many come and many go.

Shortly after 3.0, most of Brew decided to move on to different pastures. As the weeks passed, some of the core members of Brew decided to rekindle the group we once had. Realizing our mistake in not strengthening the guild, we are back and ready more-than-ever to resume end game raiding.

Our Goal:
Currently, <Brew> (formerly known as <Brew City>) is recruiting, willing and able players, to be able to more easily fill up our 25 man raids. Our immediate goal is simple; to be finishing end game content in a timely fashion. We are currently running pickup groups and looking for skilled players to fill our ranks. We aspire to soon be able to fill enough raid spots to run two 10 man raid groups, and then of course 25 man raids without the need to PuG a handfull of players.

Currently, we have cleared 10 man Naxxramas, Obsidian Sanctuary, and Malygos with members. We have also led partial PuGs (20ish members) into 25 man Obsidian Sanctuary, Vault of Archavon and have cleared 25 man Naxxramas in a single night. We do this for two core reasons. First and foremost, our desire to clear content is strong and if we must PuG to do so, we will. Second, we want to give those who may not know our raiding environment a chance to experience (at least a little bit) what our raids are like. This also gives us an ability to review player-performance without putting people on-the-spot.

Our Capability:
Our first 10 man Malygos included over half the raid having zero knowledge of the fight (which is strongly discouraged for our members). In under 80 minutes of actual boss-encounter time, we led this group to seeing Malygos dead. Yes, the current content is quite easy, but we feel this speaks to our strong ability to lead our players into content and we enjoy it every step of the way.

Our most current raids have consisted of: A one shot 10 man Malygos, a one night clear of 25 man Naxx, and a 25 man Malygos to 7% on our first night with him. We are confident we shall see the boss die soon with little to no difficulty.

The Plan:
We plan to solidify our raiding schedule once we have a more robust 25 man roster. However, one can be sure that it will be between 4-5 nights a week, and most likely a 4-5 hour schedule. You can rest easy knowing we do not plan to run scheduled raids on Friday or Saturday nights. The expected 4 night schedule could potentially (and probably will) be:

Sunday-Wednesday: 7-11 EST

(Please note these times and days could and potentially will fluctuate, especially when there is new content on our plate)

We will be using a loot council based loot distribution system.

Please feel free to contact ZuLander and/or Serotonin in game to discuss things further.
